Artists and Creatives

MCM Comic Con hosts many independent creators spread across the Artists Alley and Vendors Hall. Artist Alley is purely focused on indie artists selling prints, pins, stickers and more apparel. Vendors Hall is a more mixed bag with indie creators and retailers of pop culture merchandise.

Catch up on some of the creatives in attendance over the weekend!

letsfracturethings

"Hi, I’m Frac! I’m a freelance fanartist based in the south of England. Drawing clean, vibrant character art of handsome 2D men is my lifeblood. This is my third time tabling at an MC M Comic Con and I’m excited to take part. The vibes are always fantastic — the thing that’s so great in AA is the variety and diversity available, there’s something for everybody, from all walks of life! The community built around AA is so close knit and supportive. From cosplayers to artists to fans of certain shows looking to support, it’s filled with incredibly positive and talented people, I feel really lucky to be able to call myself a part of it."

spirutts

" Hiya I’m Spirutts! I’ve been attending conventions as an artist for 7 years now, my first one also being a MCM event.

Though I’ve been doing this for a while I mostly just keep coming back for the communities I get to meet (´▽`) My own niche being in Shoujo and Magical Girl aesthetics and shows I grew up. "

magical maidens

"Hello! I am Jaz, the artist behind magicalmaidens. I make lots of fandom items inspired by my favourite series and games, and they usually have a certain characteristic smile! I started out with making smaller items like enamel pins which I still specialise in but I am hoping to branch out to bigger items like apparel someday."

snacky boy

" I’m Snacky Boy, a digital artist based in Hertfordshire! Most of the items on my table are prints of my landscape illustrations featuring Pokemon, and a few enamel pins that I designed as well. I’ve been attending MCM comic con since 2009, but started tabling and selling my work in 2017! I enjoy the event so much, even from behind the table- the atmosphere is always so great and gives me so much energy, I look forward to it every time! "

cursed comics

"My name is Suzanne Faylee and I have sold at MCM Comic con with my group for a University project. We mainly sold anthologies compiling each of our 8 different comic stories based on the theme of Curses and blessings, interpreted in our different ways. I myself have sold supporting products such as stickers and prints of office worker cats. I’ve also sold keychains of cutesy but sinister cats with little knives. I also have sold cat commissions at one point, drawing people as cats for £1! My Instagram is @pitii.partii ."

occult trash

"I'm Occult Trash, I've been vending at comic conventions since 2016 and MCM has always been one of my favourites! I'm known best for my Femboy Hooters sets as well as my LGBTQ+ Pride ranges and yamikawaii apparel, but I also sell comics, prints, accessories, stationery and pins."

bubblekid_aesthetics

"Hi, my name is Bubblekid Aesthetics and I run a small business where I draw things inspired by nostalgic elements of childhood. I make merch directly inspired by the things I loved. Be it Barbie, my all time obsession, or whatever new obsession I develop, one thing is certain. I am sure to draw it quite a bit"

sparkiio

"I'm still recovering from my best MCM ever, the Creators section is somewhere I haven't traded in for a long time but I felt like I was home! I was absolutely swamped and enjoyed it immensely, so much that I'm doubting my original decision to take a break for this October. We shall see if I'm there, but after a decade of doing MCM I could do with a holiday for my birthday month"

twisted squid

"Sophie here! I run Twisted Squid, a small brand with the goal to de-taboo mental health, so to speak. We all have brains, we should be looking out for them! I’m also drawn to the darker and creepier side of life, and represent it in my own strange art style as t-shirts, hoodies, books and other little nick nacks. Travelling through country doing comic cons and tattoo conventions is a blessing as I get to meet many amazing people! If you see me at an event, come and say hi!"

cindryshoo

"Cindryshoo is an Australian based artist exploring the UK and yapping about anime and manga.

I sell lots of little charms and prints, and love adding extra little easter eggs in my work. Talking as a fan to other fans really brings me joy in the con space!"

kubbykreates

"Hi! I’m Theo, aka KubbyKreates! I am a student who is working hard to create my own comic, as well as cryptid/alien themed items to fit in with it, too! This convention was my first selling at MCM London, and I found it to be an amazing, albeit overwhelming experience. Everyone was so kind and shared a genuine interest in mine and my classmates stock, it was very unreal! Overall, I’d say a massive success— I’m excited to do it again!"
